WELCOMING BABY GIGI
AN INTIMATE CONVERSATION WITH ELODIE & STEPHEN
We had the pleasure of playing a key role in decorating the nursery and curating the interior essentials for little Gigi—an experience that marked the beginning of a beautiful creative exchange with Elodie G. Fasano—the visionary photographer and creative director—and Stephen Fasano, the internationally renowned DJ and producer known as The Magician.
Rooted in shared values of design, aesthetics, and intentional living, the collaboration naturally evolved into something deeper. As an extension of that partnership, we sat down for an intimate conversation with the couple, delving into how welcoming their son, Giacomo Ace Fasano (affectionately called Gigi), has redefined their views on life, creativity, and the meaning of home.
Inside the Fasano Family Home
When Elodie first reached out to explore the idea of collaborating on little Gigi’s nursery—then just a tiny baby bump—we couldn't have been more excited to join forces with such a dynamic creative duo. Stephen has made his mark on the global music scene with his signature blend of deep house and nu-disco, while Elodie brings a refined eye for beauty and emotion to every frame she captures. Together, they’ve crafted a world that celebrates artistry, intimacy, and connection—and now, they’re bringing that same thoughtful energy into their parenting journey. Their beautifully designed home is a reflection of this evolution—elegant yet lived-in, artistic yet deeply personal.
Designing a Home with Heart
Elodie and Stephen’s home is a stunning reflection of their artistic sensibilities. “The house was built by Paul Noel, a Belgian architect, in 1976. We wanted to preserve his architectural vision while adding our own touch, which is actually quite close to the 70s aesthetic. So, we live in a space filled with 70s vibes, mid-century modern influences, and a mix of Italy and Japan.”
When we saw the Hai No Ki collection, it was a perfect match for what we had in mind—mixing wood, pastel green, brown, and beige tones.
When it came to designing Gigi’s nursery, their inspiration was deeply personal. “Since Gigi was made in Japan, we were drawn to Japanese design from the 70s. When we saw the Hai No Ki collection, it was a perfect match for what we had in mind—mixing wood, pastel green, brown, and beige tones. We created a super cozy vibe for him.”
The Story Behind 'Gigi'
Choosing a name for your child is a journey in itself, and for Elodie and Stephen, it was one deeply inspired by their love for Italy and New York City, Elodie explains: “Stephen is 50% Italian, and we love everything about Italy, so there was no doubt we needed to find an Italian first name that worked with his surname,” they explain. “We’ve spent a lot of time in New York City, and the Italian heritage there has always inspired us. We thought, ‘Let’s give him a second name—something cool, like if he were an actor in the 60s or 70s in New York’s Lower East Side.’”
As for that second name, inspiration struck in an unexpected yet meaningful place - Elodie discovered she was pregnant while staying at the ACE Hotel in Kyoto. And so, Giacomo Ace Fasano came to be, lovingly nicknamed Gigi.
Navigating Parenthood
As first-time parents together, they’ve noticed subtle shifts in their dynamic but they were pretty prepared for parenthood “Stephen already has an 11-year-old daughter, so we talked a lot about our educational values before Gigi was born. He’s only three months old now, so our dynamic has changed a bit, but not drastically. It just requires a little more organization. We take him with us almost everywhere.”
When asked how they balance parenting with their creative and busy careers, they share, “If we need to work on a project together, we ask a family member to look after Gigi.” They also do things a bit differently now—like when Stephen toured Mexico to promote his latest album. He went alone, whereas before, this would have been something they would’ve done together.
Creativity Meets Parenting
Creativity is at the heart of the lives of both Elodie and Stephen, but they don’t feel the need to push Gigi in any specific direction. “Neither of our parents are creatives—we found our own way. We’ll introduce him to different fields and let him explore." They admit, however, that they can’t help but involve him in their creative world—Stephen can’t resist introducing him to music, while Elodie can’t stop taking pictures of him. But who could blame her? Just look at the images in this article.
As for how parenthood has influenced their creative process, they explain, “It hasn’t changed the creative side, but it has made us more focused on essential things since we have a bit less free time. I think this will evolve as the years go by. Also, three months before Gigi was born, Stephen broke his arm and had to stay home. That time allowed us to reflect on what’s next and how to approach our first months with Gigi.”
For artist-parents looking to find balance, Elodie and Stephen share their perspective: “Stephen has been a globetrotter for many years, and as soon as I met him, I followed him, photographing our travels. We want to continue this lifestyle, but for now, we’re making small adjustments since Gigi is still very young. He’ll be traveling with us to LA for the first time in June, and we’ll have the help of a nanny.”
Their journey into parenthood is one of love, adaptation, and creative energy. With a lifestyle that seamlessly blends travel, artistry, and family, Elodie and Stephen are crafting a world where Gigi can grow, explore, and find his own unique path. We’re honored to be a small part of their story.

THEIR NURSERY SELECTION: ROOTED IN JAPANESE INSPIRATION
Since little Gigi was created in Japan, Elodie and Stephen were naturally drawn to Japanese aesthetics when designing his room. The Hai No Ki collection, inspired by the architectural philosophy of Tadao Ando, was an evident choice—blending minimalist design with warm wood tones and soft, natural hues. The result? A serene and timeless nursery where Gigi can grow, dream, and feel truly at home.
